Look back – FEBRUARY
It’s half way through March and I thought a little look back at February was in order. The start of this year has been absolutely manic for me. Usually the year starts pretty slow for me, generally because I’ve got me the New Year lazies. This year, however, I ran full speed ahead.
Your Best Year Planning
I think a lot of it has been down to spending January setting myself for organisation, specifically using planners for full pro effect. After Sky Siouki’s recommendation, I bought myself the business planner edition of Your Best Year 2018 by Lisa Jacobs and it’s really stepped my game up.
I’ll do a separate full review of the planner later, but for now I can definitely recommend it. Especially if you want to seriously look at your business and start planning your year right. Thanks Sky!
Cardiff Anime Con
This year I thought I’d try something a little different and something I’ve always wanted to do. Conventions!
Since attending my first one almost 10 years ago, I’ve dreamed of tabling at conventions across the country. Well this February I attended my first convention as an exhibitor at Cardiff’s Anime and Gaming Convention. And I had so much fun!
I was so worried the Anime community wouldn’t accept me because I’m not a ‘anime/manga’ artist, but I really shouldn’t have been. Everyone was lovely, the cosplay was amazing and I had a great time. I met some great people, amazing Wing Design for Cosplay (Really check out those WINGS) and fantastic artists including Skybear, Porukachii , Eva Lynch and Fopdoodles
I’m also tabling at Cardiff Anime Con in August as well, and after February’s I really can’t wait!
Since last year, I’ve been making a bunch of new products, and I realised I haven’t been listing them in my shops! Well not to worry I’ve been slowly adding new stuff to my shops. You can find brand new mugs, badges and prints in my Etsy store and soon to be in my online shop. But there’s more still to come so don’t forget to keep checking back, or sign up for my mailing list to be notified of new items.
Tobacco Factory Market
Last month I braved the cold weather and stood outside for Tobacco Factory’s Sunday Market. It was a nice change of scenery and great to get some branching fresh air on a Sunday morning. I’ll be back at Tobacco Factory Market on the 11th for a special Bristol Girl Bosses mini-market celebrating International Women’s Day on Mother’s Day.
